Client:  Branding Unlimited

    Case Study

Branding unlimited is an independent print broker, concentrating on corporate branded materials, business and advertising collateral. I was contracted to develop a reasonably complex informational site to bolster their client network. As this client has it's own art department, I had set artwork parameters to adhere to, along with a structural preference. Within these guidelines, I was given creative freedom. The amount of information contained in this site dictated a complex navigation system. To moderate the size and keep this site intuitive required complex css, accomplished with a customized spry widget.

Client:  Gone Green Technology

    Case Study

This contract was brokered through my rep. in Texas as a full business suite, including basic web presence + flash loop and video intro. As the majority of business for this client is generated through referral, the scope of this project was very limited: Information, demonstration and contact info. I was given a few lateral businesses URL's for examples of reference, and a lead time of 3 days. Despite it's spartan presentation, as a part of the entire suite it works well with the additional collateral for instant recognition.

Client:  Urban Organics Co-op

    Case Study

Though not a working client, I felt this project's quality deserved recognition as some very good work. Working on a team with four other artists, it is the last group project involved in a certification program. In this group effort, my responsibilities included page layout and artwork development. Working closely with the information architect, code writer and production artist, I directed the sites development through it's physical appearance. Part of my role was to develop and submit all elements to the production artist as final, requiring no tweaking in either optimization, or later in coding stages.

Client:  American Wine Distributors Inc.

    Case Study

American Wine Distributors Inc. contacted me through a mutual colleague to develop an interactive promotional piece to be used on their web site and through email distribution, to bolster interest in some of the California regional brands they carry. This composition was in the last stage of first round development when the world economy took it's recent pitfall, so their re-branding project was shelved for a later date. This project was halted at it's current state, but I felt the quality of this unfinished piece was worthy of presentation in this portfolio. Verbiage and audio content to be used were pre-suplied. I was allowed freedom to develop this piece as I wished with the only request being that it have a classic, timeless appearance and adhere to a red-wine color scheme.

Client:  The Linkery

    Case Study

The Linkery is a hip and casual restaurant located in the North Park subdivision of San Diego. Focusing on the young professional market that populates this area. I was contracted to produce a simple, yet "flashy" banner advertisement to be used on associated web sites that cater to similar clientele. I was given an extremely short lead time, and freedom to develop as I saw fit with only requirement being inclusion of the logo, and the restaurant's prevalent dark red color scheme.

Client:  Massiv Concepts

    Case Study

Massiv Concepts is a collaborative effort that I am a part of and was started in early 2008. Utilizing the co-op office business model, it is a small group of creative professionals with the ability to cater to a wider spectrum of clientele then any of it's individual parts can alone. Comprised of graphic designers, web designers, carpenters, set designers, sculptors, fine artists, composers, marketing professionals and lawyers; our goal is to transcend the traditional business model and help to renovate the idea of creative collaboration. This piece was developed at it's inception to be used as the intro to presentations, online marketing, promotion and multimedia recognition. Imagery was developed in Adobe® Illustrator, edited in Photoshop, and composited in After Effects.

Client:  Multimedia Certification

    Case Study

Constantly working to keep my skills sharp in the competitive advertising and design field, I entered and completed a 1500 hour multi-media certification program to increase my knowledge, experience and marketability. This composition is set as an independent movie trailer, with strictures mandating that it be no longer than 45 seconds. Having developed the plot concept myself, I set out to capture the footage needed to complete the piece as close to the story board as possible. The largest obstacle for this project was directing, acting, shooting, editing and producing with-in a one week lead time, while working a full time job in tandem with managing a freelance client portfolio. This project was shot on a Cannon SD video recorder, edited in Apple® Final Cut Pro with minimal visual effects developed in Adobe After Effects.

Client:  Multimedia Certification

    Case Study

Completing the video editing portion of the certification program, our assignment was to create a composition with the intent of provoking an emotional response from the viewer. With a two week lead time and a good idea of what I wanted to accomplish, I set off to research and gather information and quotation's from industry experts, image acquisition and video composition. I had always wanted to produce this theme, using this music into a video product; this assignment proved to be the perfect opportunity. Photographic special effects were accomplished using Final Cut's native utilities, while the video effects were done in Adobe After Effects. The largest obstacle with this project was choreographing the images and information in sync with the music while staying true to original story board.
